PGP, a provider of data protection offerings, has released a new Key Management Server that offers open enterprise key and certificate management.
PGP has also unveiled an upgrade to the Universal Server which will provide support for computing platforms as well as performance, policy and operational enhancements.
The company said that the Key Management Server 3.0 provides organisations with the infrastructure and tools to manage deployments of encryption keys and certificates for multiple applications. It also provides a foundation to centralise management of encryption throughout the enterprise.
According to PGP, the Key Management Server includes features such as support for heterogeneous environments including asymmetric, symmetric and proprietary keys. It is architected for multi-protocol support and provides support for desktops, servers and devices.
In addition, it includes provisioning and lifecycle management including expiration dates and renewal; and SSL, VPN, wireless access. It has generalised automation agent that supports integration on 30+ operating system versions.
The updated Universal Server includes, enhanced policy and compliance options; hybrid cryptographic optimiser technology; and increased automation. It addresses a range of supported endpoint platforms including Ubuntu, Red Hat and Snow Leopard with Boot Camp Support as well as language and keyboard support for global deployments, the company said.
