Cap Gemini Sogeti SA has merged its two French operating companies, Cap Sogeti France SA and Sesa SA to create Cap Sesa SA. The new company, bringing together Cap Gemini’s consultancy and implementation skills in computing and telecommunications, will formally come into existence on January 1. Cap Sesa will then become one of the three operating companies within the Cap Gemini Sogeti SA group, the other two being Cap Gemini Europe and Cap Gemini America. The new company will bring together 5,000 people, 42% of the total employed by the group, with turnover for 1988 estimated at the equivalent of $435m. According to Agence France Presse, computer consultancy is now just 7% of the total, but the aim is for 10% next year, 15% after 1990.
