Advanced Micro Devices Inc, Sunnyvale, California says it is now shipping in volume what it claims is industry’s fastest commercially available 1M-bit EPROM: manufactured in an aggressive CMOS technology (hold that tiger!) that results in the industry’s smallest die size, the Am27H010 features a 45nS access time: designers can maximise system performance by designing their code to be executed directly from the EPROM, without the need for wait states, eliminating cache and bank interleaved memory architectures that take up valuable board space; organised 128K by 8 bits, the 45nS Am27H010 is $40 for 1,000-up in commercial temperature ranges in ceramic DIP packages; the 1,000-up price for the 55nS version is $27 and there are also 70nS and 90nS versions.
