Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) said that it has won a task order by the US Army Medical Acquisition Activity to support the Tri-Service Infrastructure Management Program Office (TIMPO) with capacity planning and management (CPM) services.

The task order was awarded under the Defense Medical Information System/Systems Integration, Design, Development, Operations and Maintenance Services (D/SIDDOMS) 3 contract and has a one year base period of performance, four one year options and a total value of more that $22m if all options are exercised. Work will be performed primarily in Falls Church, Va., and San Diego, SAIC said.

SAIC said that it will provide CPM support of current and future infrastructure, including application server sizing, network bandwidth analysis, and performance management. The information will be used in planning, fiscal calculations, optimisation efforts, and analysis concerning networks, servers and applications.

Anthony Hess, senior vice president and business unit general manager at SAIC, said: We look forward to continuing our support of TIMPO by providing capacity and performance services to identify potential challenge-areas in the MHS infrastructure. The services we deliver will help to assess network utilisation and enhance system performance.
