IMI Computing Ltd, the IMI Group Plc’s own IBM systems house, which has traded independently for five years, announced sales of UKP8.8m for 1987, an increase of 42% on the previous year: the firm says that external sales increased by over 70% to $6.1m in a year which saw the company take a majority interest in Warwickshire Computing, a UKP2.5m joint computing venture with Warwickshire County Council aimed at local authorities and the public sector (results not included); IMI managing director David Williamson, said that he expected to see further growth in the coming year via joint ventures and acquisitions.
