Zygal Dynamics Plc is unconcerned by Dutch office group Geveke’s recently-taken 10.3% holding according to managing director John McLean; McLean says the two companies have known each other for more than 10 years initially as competitors selling Diablo 630 printers in the UK in the mid-seventies and more recently because of a lot of common interests – data communications, maintenance and peripherals – and inter-company trading; he does not think Geveke will make a full bid, although closer ties between the two would make sense; having bought motor quotations company Basys Ltd and DEC reseller Coulson Heron Associates Ltd this year, Zygal has quadrupled its size and is well on course for profits of UKP2m pre-tax for the year to April.
