AT&T CREATES NEW US DIVISION FOR SYSTEMS INTEGRATION

By CBR Staff Writer

Chasing after the burgeoning systems integration business, AT&T Co has created a new division to coordinate the development and marketing of a comprehensive systems integration capability. Led by vice-president Chuck Yates who will retain his other responsibilities, the division will span all of AT&T’s products and seek to indentify market niches for integrated solutions. The company’s existing sales force will continue to sell products but will take advice from the System Integration headquarters. According to Electronic News, the announcement has been made only internally to date and an AT&T spokesman said that an official announcement would be made when products are in place.
