Carters Drinks Group of Kegworth in Derbyshire is now the proud owner of a four processor Sequent Computer Systems Inc Unix system, which replaces a Nixdorf 8870: the system, worth UKP250,000, will run personnel, financial, sales order processing and stock control applications as part of an Ethernet network, and was chosen in preference to bids from Nixdorf UK Ltd, Pyramid Technology Ltd and NCR Ltd.
