HP has signed a five-year, $73m applications and infrastructure technology services agreement with Sweden-based banking and insurance firm Lansforsakringar.
Under the terms of the agreement, HP will continue to provide server, storage, workplace and applications management services. It also will provide support of Lansforsakringar’s environment, including customer relationship management software, and HP ProLiant, BladeSystem and StorageWorks XP Disk Array technologies.

HP said its financial services subsidiary will provide leasing services. The technology services will be offered from its global delivery centre in Bulgaria.

Earlier in January, EDS signed a seven-year, $78m agreement with Phoenix Companies, to continue managing technology infrastructure and software applications for Phoenix Life Insurance Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary. EDS is expected to consolidate and manage Phoenix’s midrange server, mainframe and information storage environments, and manage and monitor the voice and data communications network.
