InfoSonics, a provider and distributor of wireless handsets and accessories serving Latin America, said that its verykool i280 has been approved by carriers in Central and South America and that it anticipates the first shipments of its new phone in the fourth quarter.

The company said that the i280 handset include an analog TV receiver, 3.0 megapixel camera for video and still photos, it can also capture TV images and videos and allows to send them through MMS capable phones via text or through email.

In addition, i280 features a bar-type touch screen form factor, quad-band receiver and includes email, web browsing, speakerphone, a music player and an external memory slot for micro SD that allows to transport personal files and music and videos.
