The 9370 lobby in IBM (CI No 1,283) won’t be happy to hear that according to research carried out by Xephon Ltd, Datapro, and International Data Corp, Cincom Systems Inc’s Net/Master software is finding increasing favour with IBM’s SNA base as it turns away from NetView: those questioned said that NetView lacked Net/Master’s ease of use and programming, but also rated products from DEC and Telenet above NetView – all of which seems to put another nail in the 9370 coffin.
