And the Ferrari versus Bernard Panton versus Singer & Friedlander row continues. Says Singer’s Mike Whitaker, Panton the former head of Telecomputing – has issued a complaint that Singer and Friedlander published a rights issue for Ferrari at the end of October 1989 which did not mention the acquisition of Telecomputing. Panton is claiming that Ferrari had already bought its 30% of the company at the time the document was issued, which therefore makes the document invalid. Commenting on the allegation, Whitaker believes it overlooks two things: Whitaker says that Ferrari didn’t agree to purchase the 30% of Telecomputing until seven days after the document was published; and secondly, he says the document wasn’t published by Singer it was issued by Ferrari’s stockbroker, Stock Beech. Panton was not available to comment on the issue.
