Personal computer mass storage and peripherals integrator CMS Enhancements Inc, based in Tustin, California, is expanding its portfolio to embrace local area networks, and has created a new Networking Products division. Jim Farooquee, president of the $150m-a-year company said the new division will compete with IBM, Novell and 3Com to market hard disks, cabling and other products needed to connect personal computers to networks. He described the move as a logical addition to our other divisons already producing hard disk drives, floppy disk drives, tape subsystems and accessories for computers made by IBM, Apple, DEC, Compaq, AT&T and others. The products will be marketed through the company’s network of distributors and dealers in 39 countries. Former president of a consultancy company, Robert Wagoner, has been tapped by CMS to head up the new division.
