Tibco Software has unveiled a new version of Collaborative Information Manager, an enterprise master data management (MDM) platform to provide out-of-the box functionality that offers customers new tools to address their data integrity demands using machine intelligence.
The company has integrated Netrics’ mathematical, algorithmic-based matching engine with its Collaborative Information Manger 7.2.1.
Stefanos Damianakis, CEO of Netrics, said: We are excited to work with Tibco to enhance the company’s MDM offering with Netrics’ best-of-breed matching technology. Netrics’ engine provides real-time data-matching that is critical to managing customer data and is proven scalable despite high volumes of data errors.
According to Tibco, the version 7.2.1 enables data cleansing with fewer errors. The integrated offering is expected to improve the finding of duplicate records in large data sets through mathematical modelling of human similarity. This approach to data cleansing offers accuracy across different data types, such as customers, products, vendors and locations.
The new version offers the ability to lower upfront implementation time and costs, and an overall lower total cost of ownership as customers need not have to spend the time and money to develop and maintain rules, the company claims.
Inderjeet Singh, vice president of emerging technologies at Tibco, said: Businesses today struggle with rules-based approaches to data quality with mixed results and high service costs. With the addition of the Netrics Matching Engine, we will help our customers achieve a much greater degree of information integrity while reducing implementation risk and costs.
