Fremont, California-based Headland Technology Inc has introduced the HT15, single-chip system logic for building entry-level 80386SX-based AT-alikes: the HT15 offers true zero wait state operation at frequencies of up to 20MHz and supports a motherboard or local bus implementation of performance-critical peripherals and provides improvements in the graphics area; it supports Super VGA graphics chips such as Headland’s HT216, and works with with SCSI, Ethernet and IDE peripherals; it supports up to 16Mb of main memory, and has a four register extended memory support facility; to do a full AT-alike, CPU, six TTL devices plus two fast buffers, keyboard controller, real-time clock, BIOS and memory are required as well as the HT15; it’s $19.50 for 1,000-up; volume this quarter.
