Digital Equipment Corp has upgraded its InfoServer product. The new InfoServer 150 adds magnetic and Digital Audio Tape media to the existing repertoire of CD-ROM, magneto-optical and hard disk storage options. It is also shipping with version 2 of the InfoServer software. More interesting is the announcement of new client software that will enable NetWare and other MS-DOS machines to use the server. NetWare users need a product called InfoServer for DOS, other MS-DOS micros need Pathworks for DOS. Infoserver is a box designed for access to large quantities of data. The entry level model comes with 120Mb hard disk, and a CD-ROM drive.
