Orange Business Services is increasing the coverage of its International Ethernet Link service by doubling the number of countries to 32. The service, which is designed for business that need high speed datacentre networks, is supported by VPLS Ethernet network.

According to Orange Business Services, the International Ethernet Link service interconnects company’s headquarters, subsidiaries and datacentres using ethernet connections. This service enables multinationals to consolidate IT operations and reduce costs while offering exchange of their business voice, image and data flows.

The company said that its ethernet service new functionality include, a new generation VPLS Ethernet network that allows speeds of 10Mb/s up to n x 1Gb/s; 4 classes of service with bandwidth management; service level agreements (SLA), deployment, restoration, availability and performance commitments; and customised service support. The service support provides quality plans, network management, real-time performance web-monitoring, monthly reports and dashboards.

Reportedly, International Ethernet Link is now available in France, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Spain, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Czech Republic, UK, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Morocco, US, Canada, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, India, Hong-Kong, Singapore, Japan, South Korea and Australia.

In addition, it is expected to be extended to Finland, Poland, Mexico, Venezuela and China in December, 2009.
