Not surprising, judging by an advertisement from Reed International’s Butterworth Scientific Ltd: it wants an editor for Computer Communications who is also to be involved in the launch of a journal on knowledge-based systems, and despite the fact that those with experience of many of the current products of our universities would regard it as a disqualification, it states that a degree is essential, whereas a knowledege of the computer industry is only desirable.
