Atlanta-based Contel Corp says its federal systems unit is to buy Eaton Corp’s information management systems and data systems services divisions for about $58m, the final price to be set at closing, by the end of August: the first of the units being acquired develops computer systems for the US military, and also does large-scale office automation applications, the other services DEC VAX computers.
