Borland International Inc, Scotts Valley, California, has announced a new release of the Paradox database management system specifically for 80386-based machines: Paradox 386 uses the 32 bit instruction set to speed performance of typical database operations and breaks through the 640Kb barrier using the large memory address space provided by the 80386 architecture – it has the 386/DOS extender manufactured by PharLap Software embedded in the program to give support for up to 16Mb of memory; suggested retail price is $895, available December.
