ExperTelligence Inc, Santa Barbara, California has begun distribution of the Prolog II artificial intelligence programming language for IBM Personal and Personalike computers through direct sales and through authorised dealers. ExperProlog II, launched for the Apple Macintosh in the middle of last year, is claimed to bring true intuitive artificial intelligence programming to the MS-DOS computing environment for the first time. The langauge features the ability to implement infinite trees, or cyclic data structures, and the ability to freeze a predicate until all desired parameters are instantiated. ExperProlog II for MS-DOS lists for $395. It comes on two floppy disks accompanied by a two-section user manual, one section of which is specific to the language, the other to its implementation in the IBM PC-DOS environment.
