Reporting fiscal fourth quarter net up 39% at $2.5m on sales up 37% at $159.6m (full figures when we get them), computer retailer Businessland Inc says that demand has outstripped supply for the Compaq Deskpro 386 ever since it was announced, there is a shortage of the 80386-based IBM PS/2 Model 80, and that while the market has been bubbling as a result of demand for new machines like the PS/2 and the Apple Mac SE, the more traditional AT-alikes are also going strongly.
