Cobalt Blue Inc, San Jose, California has a new dual-translation package to convert Fortran 77 – with Mispec extensions – to either C++ or C. FOR_C++ is available for Sun-3 and Xenix/386 environments, and although Fortran code is not object-orientated by FOR_C++, translations use optimum C++ constructs, and the resulting C++ code is claimed to be compilable and ready to run. The Sun version costs $2,250, for Xenix/386 is $1,850, and both include C and C++ source to the run-time library.
