AT&T Co’s Computer Systems Division is reportedly ready to sign agreements with several national chains of computer system distributors in the US. Meanwhile, Merisel Inc of Marlboro, Massachusetts – the result of a merger between personal computer distributors Softsel Computer Products Inc and Microamerica Inc (CI No 1,499), and a recent convert to Unix systems with the DEC RISC line – has reported third quarter losses of $1.3m on sales of $306m. But the losses are blamed on merger expenses, and the company sees profits this quarter.
