Ness Technologies inks $11m outsourcing contract with Israel’s Ministry of Immigrant Absorption

To operate and maintain the ministry's IT systems including applications, infrastructure systems, communications and workstations

By CBR Staff Writer

IT services provider Ness Technologies has won a five-year, ILS42m (approximately $11.2m) outsourcing contract from Israel’s Ministry of Immigrant Absorption, in a public tender published by the Ministry. The contract includes an option to extend the contract for up to additional five years.

Under the contract, Ness will operate and maintain the ministry’s IT systems 24/7, including applications, infrastructure systems, communications and workstations. In addition, it will also deploy network and system management offerings, upgrade the ministry’s helpdesk, and improve the service level according to a service level agreement.

The ministry’s information systems division is responsible for ongoing development and operation of advanced ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) systems for immigrant absorption, including registration of immigrants, management of assistance resources; providing hardware and software resources to support absorption processes near immigrant residences; and producing information and reports for the ministry’s various management levels and external organisations that handle immigrant absorption, the company said.

Effi Kotek, president of Ness Israel, said: The key to successful outsourcing is understanding the client’s business needs, and this is what we will do in this project, enabling the Ministry of Immigrant Absorption to achieve its goals. We are committed to delivering the best outsourcing services for the client’s needs, helping the Ministry of Immigrant Absorption to meet the absorption challenges for the coming years.
