Netreo has launched a new dashboard, OmniCenter Virtualization Dashboard that provides visibility for VMWare enterprise deployments, allowing users and administrators to identify the source of performance slowdowns.

The company claimed that the new dashboard provides deeper visibility into the virtual server environment, with real-time alerting and historical information about host systems and the guests that run on them. It allows IT managers can to see which guest systems are using host resources and identify resource hogs or systems that are creating performance issues.

According to Netreo, OmniCenter provides a virtualisation dashboard that summarises all the hosts at a site into a single consolidated view. This allows administrators and engineers to identify the cause of any bottlenecks or slowdowns.

Ad-Hoc, real-time, scheduled, and historical reports provide detailed information about the environment and allow what-if planning for virtualisation migrations. Virtual host details can also be placed on user-defined dashboards for a custom view into any environment, the company said.

The company added that OmniCenter can also identify the guests running on a host system, or tell an administrator which host system is currently hosting a particular guest. It also provides real-time notification and historical reports for guest migrations, whether planned or dynamic.

Reportedly, OmniCenter Virtualization Manager provides support for all commercial versions of VMWare, including all current versions of vSphere, Infrastructure, and ESX. The new dashboard supports any guest OS, including Microsoft Windows 2000/2003/2008, and Linux.
