Multimedia product developer Creative Technology Ltd has said, along with its subsidiary Creative Labs Inc, it has obtained an injunction in its lawsuit against Cyrix Corp and OEM customers of Cyrix’s Media GX chip. Creative Technology alleges that Cyrix and its customers are misleading consumers as to the capabilities of the Media GX chipset. A US court has endorsed Creative’s claims of false advertising and told Cyrix it can’t advertise the product as being Sound Blaster compatible.
