Tel Aviv-based Zapa Digital Arts Ltd, a young developer of online three-dimensional smart character tools and technologies has announced the premiere of ZapTV, which it is calling the first interactive 3D Webcast experience. The product enables users to get hours of online programming with no additional delays due to bandwidth, the company said. Zapa selected Fujitsu Ltd’s Fujitsu Business Systems’ Knowledge Direct as the host for ZapTV’s Asian premiere. A downloadable ZapTV plug-in, available free from Zapa’s Website at www.zapadogotal.com, enables viewers to view any ZapTV scene. Zapa has produced several ZapTV programs and is currently in negotiations with several leading content providers to produce customized programming. ZapTV is one element in a Webcast suite of products developed by Zapa devoted to creating and enriching on-line content, advertisement and commerce. The company, founded in 1993, develops 3D and Java software servers, clients and authoring tools aimed at providing Webcast services.
