Boost Mobile, the division of Sprint, has launched Motorola Debut i856w, seeking to broaden its brand appeal with female consumers.

According to Boost Mobile, the new mobile device is a slider phone which glides open and closed for instant communication. It adds ivory colouring, flattering front and back detailing to its first slider phone. It comes with multi-media features such as music player with standard audio jack and threaded text messaging. It also includes 1.3 mega pixel camera with video capture and playback directly on the face of the phone.

In addition, the new Motorola Debut i856w features include 1.3 mega pixel camera, stereo Bluetooth capabilities, GPS and wireless web enabled, optional removable memory with support up to 8GB, high resolution color display, and speakerphone with voice-activated dialing.

Neil Lindsay, chief marketing officer at Boost Mobile, said: “We expect Motorola Debut i856w to appeal to female consumers who desire contemporary style and superior value from their wireless phone. When combined with our Monthly Unlimited plan, the i856w packs both – unlimited talk, text and wireless web service for $50 a month on a very attractive handset.”
