Intelligent Decisions (ID) said that it has created a Virtualisation Practice to meet the customers’ demands for green, cost-effective IT offerings while increasing security of enterprise data centres.
The company claims that the practise is an approach to address customer needs to reduce power, cooling, and footprint in order to efficiently utilise servers, applications and storage environments.
According to Intelligent Decisions, the new offering provides customers with the capability to leverage technologies to virtualise the server infrastructure; recover/reconstitute existing investments in server/blade architectures to utilise server resources; and optimise NAS/SAN storage offerings for reliability by centralising the location of data and provide backup/restoration and DR/COOP capabilities.
In addition, the offering also provides customers with the capability to deploy virtualisation offerings in accordance with DIACAP, FISMA and other federal, commercial, state and local compliance requirements.
ID said that it has developed a custom modular data centre demonstration pod equipped with the new virtualisation, security and storage offerings. It exhibits the flexibility of the company’s virtualisation offerings live in various customer environments.
