MicroStrategy Q4 revenues up 11% to $105.8m

Net income increases 44% on year ago quarter

Business intelligence software provider MicroStrategy has reported revenues of $105.8m for the fourth quarter of 2009, an increase of 11% compared to $95m for the same period last year.

The company has posted an operating income of $20.54m, compared to $13.84m for the same quarter last year. Operating expenses increased 4% to $59.8m from $57.6m in the same period a year ago.

For the fourth quarter ended Decmeber 31, 2009, the company posted a net income of $20.5m, or $1.66 per share, an increase of 44% compared to $14.3m, or $1.17 per share for the fourth quarter of 2008.

Product licenses revenues rose by 7% to $30m from $28m. Product support and other services revenues were up 12% to $71.5m from $64m in the fourth quarter of 2008.

For full year 2009, the company reported revenues of $377.8m, compared to $360.4m in 2008. Operating income increased to $60.57m from $41.77m last year and net income increased to $74.84m from $41.83m in 2008.
