Baan V, the next-generation of Dutch company Baan Co NV’s manufacturing and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software expected later this year is being web-enabled and fitted with new workflow capabilities. At the same time Baan’s going to transition the whole solution from ERP work to what it’s going to call IRP, for Intelligent Resource Planning. The Baan IV.c cut with UK company Planning Sciences’ Gentia OLAP engine has slipped to this quarter. It’s currently selling Baan IV.b, the Microsoft BackOffice-compliant implementation.
