The production site of some high end personal computers from Compaq Computer Corp is on the move from Scotland to Singapore. The Singapore plants will invest some $55m to cater for the added workload, and output is expected to double. The company has said expansion plans for its Singapore plants form part of its goal of becoming a $40bn group by 2,000.
