Cable & Wireless Plc held a party – well an extraordinary general meeting – to approve ending its partnership with Veba AG, but nobody came, or not enough. The meeting has had to be rescheduled, and, giving itself plenty of time this time, it is likely to be on March 24. The problem first time around was that the letter for the meeting was inadvertently posted by second class mail, meaning there was insufficient notice for shareholders.
