The Hague, Netherlands-based Fax software house Fenestra BV is to begin its move into the integrated messaging software market with the launch of its Faxination 3.0 software next month. Fenestra has been extended to work with Microsoft Corp’s Exchange and Mail, or SAP AG’s R/3 business software, integrating facimilie, telex and mobile messaging support in with the host application. Fenestra is also considering support for Baan Co NV’s manufacturing software and Lotus Development Corp’s Notes, and plans to move its Faxination software further in the direction of electronic data interchange and voicemail in future releases. Fenestra was founded in 1990, and worked closely with Canadian company Consumers Software Inc before it, and its Network Courier product line, was acquired by Microsoft in 1991 and used as the base technology for Microsoft Mail (CI No 1,628). The company has set up a US office in Atlanta, Georgia.
