Following its acquisition by European Technology and Finance toward the end of last year (CI No 3,048), application development outfit Dynasty Technologies Inc’s about to step back into the frame with a new mission in life, new headquarters and a new executive team. Insiders say Dynasty made a big mistake putting all of its eggs in the application partitioning, three- tier and second generation application development baskets and claim that this time around it will be emphasizing its 14 components and modular approach to developing programs. ETF chairman and chief executive Giorgio Ronchini holds the same titles at Dynasty, Giovanni Dal Maso is his chief operating officer and the company’s lured long-time software industry executive Geoff Roach away from Pure Software Inc to be its VP worldwide marketing. We’ve been expecting executive fallout from the ungainly-looking Rational-Pure/Atria acquisition for a couple of weeks now. Roach is charged with putting Dynasty back on the map; the company’s moving headquarters from Lisle, Illinois to a new Silicon Valley location to begin its campaign.
