The Enterprise Mobility Solutions division of Motorola has expanded its mobile computing portfolio with the launch of MC75A worldwide 3.5G Enterprise Digital Assistant (EDA), designed for mobile enterprises that require connectivity around the world. It is available in two models, WAN/LAN and LAN only.
Motorola claims that the new MC75A leverages field proven form factor and accessory eco-system of the MC70 and MC75 rugged EDAs, with an installed base of more than 850,000 units, and incorporates its Mobility Architecture eXtension (MAX) innovations.
According to Motorola, the MC75A provides 802.11a/b/g support and can create an instant interoperability with TEAM Express devices. It includes MAX Rugged features and meets applicable MIL-STD 810G requirements for drop as well as IEC specifications for tumble and sealing.
In addition, the MAX MPA (Mobility Platform Architecture) offers a platform that enables integration into existing technology environments, the company said.
Motrola said that the new device features scan engine, imager engine and integrated 3.2 megapixel autofocus colour flash-enabled camera. The device is FIPS 140-2 Level 1 certified and integrates aGPS/GPS technology and Interactive Sensor Technology (IST) that supports a host of motion-sensing applications.
