BellSouth Corp signed definitive agreement to acquire wireless cable – cellular television – operations and assets in up to nine Southern markets from American Telecasting Inc. It says it agreed to pay no less than $67.9m and no more than $103.2m with the closing price dependent on the total number of channel leases and licenses that are delivered to it at closing. Markets covered are Jacksonville, Orlando, Daytona Beach, Fort Myers, Lakeland and Bradenton, all in Florida, and Louisville, Kentucky.
