Consumer electronics retailer Dixons Group Plc sold a 40% stake in Link, its cellular phone business to Telecom Securicor Cellular Radio Ltd, or Cellnet. Cellnet will pay an initial cash consideration of 25m pounds with further cash payments of up to 32m pounds depending on the performance and expansion of Link over the next five years. Link, established in 1994, specialises in sale of cellular phones, fixed line telephones, facsimile machines, pagers, personal organisers and a range of British Telecommunications Plc services. It currently operates 87 stores, mainly in the south east of England and plans to expand across the UK to over 200 stores.
