Bill Gates may soon be making an unlikely appearance in the music charts after being featured in a new rap song, Calling Bill Gates chronicling the attempts of one Manuel Tessloff to contact the Microsoft Corp chief to complain about Windows 95. After an exciting night out in a Hamburg nightclub, American Tessloff and two German friends got chatting about interface design, bus speeds and Windows 95 – as you do; and after comparing Windows 95 to the disastrous extension of Hamburg airport the trio decided enough was enough, wired their telephone to a stereo and dialed Microsoft’s number repeatedly in search of some much needed relief. The resulting pleas from the receptionist for them to stop calling have now been immortalized in song.
