Sonus Networks has released NetScore, a new network performance analyser that uses enhanced analytics to determine voice network performance and identify key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide data for understanding network quality through call detail record (CDR) analysis.

Sonus Networks said that it has developed NetScore to provide an analysis of every call, offering a granularity previously unavailable. This allows network operators to manage fluctuating call volumes, identify issues to protect quality of service for their subscribers.

According to Sonus Networks, the NetScore CDR analyser provides analysis of call detail records from across the network giving network operators a live view into the status and available capacity of their business asset.

In addition, key performance indicators such as answer seizure, answer bid, network effectiveness and disconnect category ratios are presented to read graphical reports that can be analysed against quality of service metrics, gateway to gateway IP packet loss and gateway/truck group data to provide a set of voice network data and analysis.

Wassim Matragi, vice president of network technologies at SonusNetworks’ global services group, said: “We have been helping customers to maximise their return on investments through Sonus professional services for many years, and now with Sonus NetScore, we are providing a platform to create and monitor these critical KPIs in real time.”
