Atlanta-based WiKID Systems has released Version 3.4 of its Strong Authentication Server in Enterprise and Community versions. The company said that new features of the server include a new self-registration process for Active Directory users and extended vendor-specific RADIUS attributes.
It has also added support for SAML Single Sign-On Service for Google Apps, allowing users of the Enterprise Google Apps to log in using one-time passcodes from the company.
WiKID claimed that its Strong Authentication System is an open source two-factor authentication system that combines asymmetric encryption with Blackberry smart phones, J2ME devices, Windows Mobile devices, iPhones and iPod Touches, and Windows, Linux and Apple OSX computers to create a secure, scalable and flexible one-time password system.
Nick Owen, CEO of WiKID Systems, said: We hope that making it even easier to implement two-factor authentication will encourage more developers and systems administrators to reconsider static passwords.
Additionally, WiKID has released an iPhone token client, a VMware version of the Community Edition Server and a new OpenID service. The VMware version of the WiKID Strong Authentication Community Edition Server was made possible by improvements to the OpenJDK.
Pricing for the Enterprise version reportedly starts at $240 per year for 10 users. The WiKID iPhone Software Token is available for free on the iTunes App Store.
