Pyramid Technology Inc, Mountain View, California, is seeking to make a greater impact on the financial services and telecommunications market through adding a fault-tolerant system to its existing range, according to Computer Systems News. Pyramid is reportedly looking at several OEM suppliers including Tolerant Systems, Stratus Computer and Nixdorf Computer. Given the existing tie-up with Nixdorf, a major OEM customer for Pyramid in Europe, Nixdorf’s former Auragen fault-tolerant model in the Targon line could be the hottest prospect. Although Pyramid declined to comment on this issue it did add that a secure implementation of Unix was high on its wants list.
