Satellite Information Systems Co, based in Boulder, Colorado has signed an agreement with Affinity Plus Inc for joint development of software applications for DEC systems in the financial services industry. Satellite Information currently manufactures a broadcast production control system called Newspro which monitors and integrates wire data and newsroom tasks. The new alliance is seen as a natural extension to these activities and is designed to add functionality to the Newspro software. The product can then be pitched to a wider community including banks, brokers and insurers. The initial aim of the agreement is to enhance and expand the NewsPro software to handle financial quote data.
