Western Digital Corp, Irvine, California has updated its family of chip sets for building AT-alikes with the WD7500 for 80286-based systems; the WD7600, for 80286 or 80386SX-based systems and the WD7600LP, for 80286 or 80386SX notebook and laptop computers: each is a three-chip set in 1.25 micron CMOS and consist of a memory control, CPU control, DMA interrupts and buffers device; a floppy control, real-time clock, CMOS RAM, IDE control and chip select decodes device; and a serial-parallel control, input-output control, programmable co-processor clock, floppy frequency generator, keyboard clock, baud rate generator, AT-bus clock and interrupt multiplexor device; the company gave no prices.
