HP has unveiled a new suite of business intelligence (BI) services in support of environments running the SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse (SAP NetWeaver BW) component, enabling clients to store increasingly large volumes of data on one system.

The company said that the new Business Intelligence Assessment Services for Use with SAP offerings allow clients to connect their data and use their business information strategically. HP Neoview Advantage implementation extends support of SAP NetWeaver BW to include non-SAP data.

According to HP, the new suite includes four assessment services including, rapid opportunity assessment service for identifying the potential business opportunity through an expanded view of data across an enterprise; and technology assessment service to help develop a roadmap for a future-state HP Neoview Advantage architecture in support of SAP NetWeaver for consolidating current environments.

HP said that the cost benefit assessment service recognises the benefits of a modernisation program in support of SAP NetWeaver BW, while the performance assessment service addresses performance issues within existing environments.

The company said that the integration provides customers with the flexibility to deploy NetWeaver BW or BI-driven analytic applications from SAP on HP Neoview platform. The Neoview Advantage platform provides a scalable database platform allowing customers to store, manage and access huge volumes of data.

Kristina Robinson, vice president and general manager of business intelligence solutions at HP, said: “Customers can better connect intelligence across the organisation and make decisions that transform their businesses with the full power of BI services. As a complete provider of enterprise-class business intelligence solutions, HP allows clients to monetise their information assets.”
