Apollo Computer Inc was the only one that managed to get details to us in time (see front), but 64-bit processors are also due today from Ardent Computer, Sunnyvale, whose Titan graphics workstation is rated at 6 MFLOPS to 10 MFLOPS on the Linpack benchmark, and is expected to start at $80,000 for the single, $100,000 for the dual processor version, with a quad expected within the year; and Convex Computer Corp, Richardson, Texas with its C-2, also in single and dual processor versions with a quad later this year, at $500,000 to $600,000 for the base configuration and $750,000 for a dual – plus an upgrade for the existing C-1 to plug the gap between the two families.
