Norway-based IT services provider EDB Business Partner has signed a global delivery agreement with a Scandinavian manufacturing group to provide IT infrastructure services. The agreement will have an initial estimated contract value of NOK225m and runs for 5 years.

According to EDB, the agreement covers the areas of distributed computing, connectivity services and application services for the manufacturing group globally, and will start with the roll-out at the corporate headquarters and the production sites in the Asia Pacific region.

The global supply agreement is in addition to EDB’s current deliveries to the manufacturing group within the areas of consulting services and application management.

Endre Rangnes, CEO of EDB, said: The agreement is of strategic importance for EDB and confirms our position as a leading supplier of IT services to the industrial market. EDB is committed to supporting the manufacturing group’s objective of cost-effective growth.”

Earlier, EDB has entered into an outsourcing contract worth SEK200m with StorStockholms Lokaltrafik to provide network services, application operating services, workplace operations, service desk and workstation operating services, as well as capacity services for servers and storage.
