Cortado, a provider of mobile communications technology, has launched Cortado Corporate Server 4.0 Professional, a new application customised for small and midsize businesses that further enhances the efficiency of BlackBerry smartphone users.

Cortado said that the new software gives BlackBerry smartphone users mobile access to their corporate network. Using the application, Cortado customers can print files in original format on any network or Bluetooth-enabled printer, send them as a fax, or as an e-mail attachment.

According to Cortado, the new software also allows BlackBerry smartphone users to create PDFs and access updated database reports from their handset. The Scan and Copy function turns the BlackBerry smartphone’s camera into a scanner. They can also be faxed or saved in a project folder.

Roger Guerrero, sales manager of enterprise solutions at Cortado, said: With Cortado Corporate Server Professional, SMB users have a cost-effective solution that allows them to benefit from all the functions of Cortado’s large enterprise offering. This results in significantly shorter processing times and higher flexibility, helping SMBs stay competitive.

Cortado Corporate Server Professional is reportedly available for $995. The price covers five users, includes 12 months of support and service updates. The number of users can be increased up to 30 for a fee of $130 per additional user, which also includes 12 months of support and service updates.
