Software house CEC, a member of the Mitsuiwa trading group, has signed with Manasys Systems Pty of New Zealand for rights to distribute the Manasys applications generator in Japan from November: Manasys can extract data from Fujitsu’s AIM database, with the version for the MSP operating system at $68,000 and for FSP, $40,000; Manasys was originally developed in New Zealand at a Fujitsu Facom mainframe site, and its prototyping methodology has been very popular with Fujitsu’s Australian users, possibly more so than Fujitsu’s own Adams applications generator; CEC is looking to sell 300 copies in three years.
